frozen shoulder and shoulder range of motion
One of root cause of frozen shoulder is myofascial adhesion from the largest muscle of shoulder. Which does adduction, extension and internal rotation of shoulder, it calls latissimus dorsi. Adhesion of latissimus dorsi to the surrounding tissue which contact with the muscle are potentially tend to happen, because of widespread muscle on the back of body, and also amount of muscle movement length from contraction to fully relaxed which is very minimal especially closed to the origin of muscle. Also, too much calcium intake which could lead more calcification of muscles and surrounding of joints as well. And this muscle attached to iliac crest and vertebrae through thoracolumbar fascia as well, which could also lead lowback pain when adhesion or muscle imbalance happens.
Other root causes are too tight pectoralis major and teres major muscles which do most likely adduction of shoulder. These muscles can be heavy load against shoulder flexion and abduction, basically when you raise your hand.
Notice that there are so many people have done too much exercise for these muscles and making restricted range of motion.
We can do treatment for myofascial adhesion and muscle tightness to help you maximize athletic performance.
But, We also think that too much muscle buildup, muscle toning, unnecessarily most of time, can be heavy load, which could resist against your movement, restrict range of motion, slow down your movement, that affecting agility, flexibility, speed, power and your athletic performance, even make injury and nerve pinch more often. Some tension and nerve pinch could lead discomfort or strange sensation/feeling which could lead inaccurate movement, losing controls for pitching. Even shoulder nerve sensation could lead lower body inaccurate movement, such as free kick in football.
One of way to Maximize your athletic performance is get rid of unnecessary muscles buildup.
Optimize muscles buildup and nutrition. And then come see us for maximize the output from your physical potential.
